You're Not The OTHER, You're Just Another.
While walking the streets of Lisbon, I was always fascinated by the amalgam of posters put up on walls, and how they deteriorated and the natural decay of the paper created these amazing textures- the paper, the typo, the faded colors, the intercation between graphic design and arquitecture, ..., ...
Moving away from Lisbon one of the things that I gradually started to miss was this juxtaposition of urban textures so I decided to explore this theme myself on my own art and here is one of the first results.
Old newspapers, old photographs pasted together to build up a textured background of type, colors, decay and even a few comic strips. These works reflect me in an almost perfect way, having all the elements that have influenced me and drove me for the last two decades so it is only fitting that explore these elements.Hope you enjoy as much as I do.
